Decorative Pastry classes

The workshops are held in small and active groups, and are intended for lovers of baking and aesthetics in food.  No  previous experience required. Most of the classes can be adapted to small groups of children and youth. The classes take place in Kfar Saba. They are usually held in Hebrew but can also be ordered in English, including the training material that accompanies each workshop. Maamoul

 

I developed a kind of obsession whose background is extensively discussed here. And no, it has nothing to do with anything Swiss just with creativity.

 

We will  learn to prepare both traditional dough and filling that I learned from my friend Muzna, as well as the versions I developed, both sweet and savory, which, although non-traditional, are beautiful, colorful and yummy.

The workshop is hands on and each participant prepares all types.

The workshop lasts about 5 hours

Challah Braiding

 

The challahs are a very traditional product in Switzerland (and in Germany)

where they are called Zopf (Braid).

 

 

We will focus mainly on different types of braiding with one, two, three, four, five and six strands.

The class lasts about 5 hours

Torte cakes

We will made 4 traditional tortes in Central Europe in general and in Switzerland in particular: the Black Forest, Chocoffee, Hungarian Marzipan, and Swiss Marzipan and fruits tort.

We will focus on filling, assembling and coating the cakes. And each participant prepares a whole mini cake (serves 2)

Individual tarts

Tarts and Pies

We will make 5 tarts not necessarily Swiss but classic.re pecan pie, lemon meringue pie, Damson / cherries tart in almond cream, chocolate tart and apple pie.

In the workshop we will focus on "blind baking" as well as full tart.

Each participant prepares all 5 mini tarts.
